The San Antonio Spurs needed every once of the Big Three as Dunc, Manu, and TP9 do what they do as Spurs Community dodges an "L". The Mavs had the recipe for a "Perfect Storm" created by big-time Mavs Lead Man Rick Carlisle as they just went stone-cold late in the 4th and final frame.
The Mavs led 44-43 at the break as the Spurs got caught up in the all important "Pace" dictated for at least 44 minutes by the Mavs. The Game was tied entering the 4th frame at 65-65 with the Spurs finally gaining a little of that momentum. The Mavs behind a few buckets by VINcanity Carter jumped out to a 75-69 lead with nine minutes to go only to be outscored some 21-10 the rest of the way. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginoboli led the Spurs Charge as the Mavs G.O.A.T. @swish 41 also went to then Sub-Zero. The Spurs grab a 90-85 "W" as the Mavs in the end of this series might look back and say, "What If we stole Game 1".
The Spurs Dunc led all scorers with 27 points as he grabbed seven boards. Point God TP9 added 21 points and six helpers with Manu 17 points and six boards along with three assists as when things get tight then Spurs can always rely on the Big Three and those nine Rings. Spurs shot under 20% from the field as both teams struggled from the stripe.
The Mavs get a team-high 19 pints and five assists from Devin Harris as Monta Ellis and Jose Calderon combined to shoot just 7 for 26 and 1 for 4 from the Arc. With Dirk (11 pts 8 rebs) going 4 for 14 someone in that Dallas Starting Line Up needed to step up and didn't. Mavs Starters only scored 29 as the Spurs Starters scored 67 which is +38 Spurs. The Mavs will lose every game in the Series of their first five doesn't produce.
