The game was back and forth and this is a series that will be decided by the little things as both are evenly matched as you can get. Huge Numbers all over the place but no one could stop LaMarcus Aldridge except the man sitting watching the game in former Clutch City Great Hakeem "the Dream" Olajuwon. The Blazers go extras to steal Home Court away from CLutch City and this was Game 1 of a possible seven...grab the Maalox!
The Rockets led late 98-88 at the four minute mark and things started to crumble for Red Nation. The Blazers not losing any composure went on a 18-8 run to send the game into Extras as L-Train and Dame strike! Yes "Dwight of Three Stripes" and "Fear the Beard" did what they do but Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin played real big especially Lin in Extras.
The Blazers win in extras behind Lillard, France National Team Star Nicolas Batum, and Wes Matthews Jr. who is the defensive stopper for Rip City. The Blazers shock Clutch City 122-120 as the Red Nation Faithful with "Area 99" of Bulls on Parade Lore in attendance court side.
L-Train goes for a game-high 46 points and the nerve of him to grab eighteen Oranges. Dame added 31 points and nine boards with five helpers with Matthews 18 points and Batum 14 points and nine boards. Both the Blazers and Rockets were both hovering around the same percentages from the Field and the Arc.
Harden and Howard both net 27 points with Dwight grabbing fifteen boards. Parsons added 24 points with "LIN-sanity" of Harris County Texas going 14 points and six boards. Red nation was riding the play of former Arkansas Star Patrick Beverley as he is a whirling dervish all by his lonesome. He had 9 points and six helpers but the impact he has not in the scorebook is awe-inspiring for everyone.
The Blazers lead 1-0 and they don't play again until Hump Day April 23rd at 9:30pm ET on NBA on TNT...
