The National League M.V.P. had a breakout of the Future Stars that will take the show into the 20s like D-Backs First Basman Paul "GOLDfinger" Goldschmidt, First Baseman Freddie "Free Freddie" Freeman, the Red Legs OF Jay Bruce, and Redbirds Catalyst and Second Baseman Matt Carpenter. Who of these Four plus one more won the 2013 NL M.V.P. as the changing of the guard has taken place amongst best players ion the NL.

The NL M.V.P. 2013 Top 5 (in order) starting with the Winner:

Note: In Parenthesis is the NL Rank

Winner and #1 Paul "GOLDfinger" Goldschmidt 1B #DBacks

Vitals: .302 avg (11th) 36 HR (Tied 1st) 125 RBI (1st) 103 Runs (Tied 3rd) .952 OPS (1st)

"GOLDfinger" had some kind of year as he dominated for the D-Backs and had them above water an leading the NL West until the Dodgers "Check Engine Light" was serviced then the 'Boys in Blue" went to the O-Zone Layer. Paul is the complete package and all those numbers in 2013 outside of his Batting Average (which still was above the .300 mark) is Senior Circuit Royalty.

#2 Matt "CARP" Carpenter 2B #Redbirds

Vitals: .318 avg (6th) 11 HR 78 RBI (25th) 126 Runs (1st) 55 Doubles (1st) .873 OPS (10th)

Are you kidding me ask the NL Central Powerhouses like the Buccos and Redbirds they will tell you it all starts for the Cards with "Carp". A sensational Second Baseman who ended up being on the Cards "Runs Scored in a Season" Leader Board with Players like Jesse Burkett, Rogers Hornsby, Albert Pujols, Lou Brock, "Stan the Man" Musial, and Big Mac McGwire to name a few. "Carp" also broke "Stan the Man's" Doubles Record for a Left Hander with 55 as Musial had 53 in 1953. Then hitting at the Top of the Order in the 2-Hole he knocks in 78 Ducks off the Pond...that was some kind of year for "Carp".

#3 Freddie "FREE Freddie" Freeman 1B #TomahawkShop404

Vitals: .319 avg (3rd) 23 HR (16th) 109 RBI (Tied 2nd) 89 Runs (Tied 10th)  .897 OPS (7th)

In an off-season where the Braves and the Baseball World was waiting for a Huge Explosion from the Upton Boys (B.J. and Justin who were both picked up in Free Agency) it was Freddie Freeman who shined and carried the Braves Lumber Company in 2013. "Free Freddie" led ATL in RBI, runs, and OPS as that Supreme Outfield on Paper of the Upton's and Jason Heyward struggled for the most part at the Dish. The scary thing is "Free Freddie" just turned 24 in early September.

#4 Andrew "Cutch 22" McCutchen CF #Buccos

Vitals: .317 avg (7th) 21 HR (23rd) 84 RBI (Tied 11th) 97 Runs (6th) 38 Doubles (Tied 7th) 27 Thefts (6th) OPS .911 (6th)

He began where he left in the 2012 Season as you could put the word "Fluke" in your Pocket and jump into the Allegheny River. The Man that has made 'Burgh Hardball and Bucs Nation a force on the Senior Circuit and in the Show. He can Run, Hit for Average and Power, he is Klepto on the base path, a Monster in X-tra Base Hits, a Run-Producer, and the 2K13 Cover Boy for MLB the Show 2K13 as he should be a Honorary Yinzer... and that would be a "Cutch 22" Situation!

#5 Jay Bruce RF #RedLegs

Vitals: .262 avg (43rd) 30 HR (3rd) 109 RBI (2nd) 89 Runs (10th) 43 Doubles (2nd) .807 (25th)

He led the Red Legs in Bombs and Ribbies and was that Protector for Red Leg Stars Joey Votto and @DatDudeBP...Brandon Phillips. Bruce will be the next Big One along the Ohio to get "Paid in Full" as well. He was the Catalyst for that Drive into the NL Wild Card Game and has plenty of good years to come for the Red Legs.
