The Chicago Blackhawks will clean up the errors and it's game one of a long season that is a marathon not a sprint. The Caps get three Power Play Goals but the Hawks get Six goals to the Caps total of four and win 6-4.

After "Raising the CHIP" and most likely Parties planned to the wee hours of the Chicago Night the Hawks survive night one in front of the "Madhouse on Madison" Nation by beating Alexander Ovechkin and the Caps. It was a sloppy night in most facets of the Hawks Game but as tightly knit as they are those will get cleaned up. Kane, Bollig, Oduya, Seabrook, Saad, and and empty netter from Marian Hossa proved to be too much for Washington to overcome.

The Game was won when the Caps 5 on 4 Man Advantage turned into a 5 on 3 Man Advantage for one minute and twenty six seconds and the Caps didn't hit the nylon on Hawks Net Minder Corey Crawford. Then again that's the Blackhawks being the Blackhawks when "Clutch" is on the Ice. German and Caps Center Mikhail Grabovski went "Hat Trick" on the Hawks a he scored two of the three Caps Power Play Goals. Russian Star Alexander Ovechkin scored the first Caps Goal of 2013 on their first power play of 2013. Hawks Net Minder Crawford stopped 28 of 32 shots.

The Hawks now will get the Lightning of Tampa Bay on Saturday October 5th at 8pm ET for Game Two.
