He came back because he felt it was the right thing to do and was that a decision of a lifetime. Already surrounded by "Bloodline" in Wolverines 2G Tim Hardaway Jr. then to get Top Freshman in more "Bloodline" Glenn Robinson III, PF/C Mitch McGary, and Canadian Sniper Nik Stauskas...Burke only had to take the keys and drive and man did he take that Maize and Blue Whip for a spin.

The 2013 John R. Wooden Award goes to the Nations Best Men's College Basketball Player and in the 2012-13 Season the Big 10 saw no better player or nation than Michigan PG Trey Burke ironically from Columbus, Ohio and that is not taking a shot at the Buckeyes it is what it is.

Burke's Numbers on the Season:

18.8 ppg 6.8 assts 3.1 rebs 46.4 % FG 38.1 % 3pt FG 80.8 FT %

Burke led the Wolverines to 30-7 record (12-6 Big 10) and a huge win over Kansas in the Sweet 16 and he led the charge over the Gators for the regional Championship as he was the South's Region Most Outstanding Player (MOP).

The Votes were really close as Burke edged out Indiana's 2G Victor Oladipo by a hair as well as some of the Nation's Best performers. The Final Voting for the John R. Wooden  Award:

1. T. Burke Michigan 2,808 (pictured right)
2. Victor Oladipo Indiana 2,718
3. Doug McDermott Creighton 2,344
4. Otto Porter Jr. G'Town 2,144
5. Kelly Olynyk Gonzaga 2,079

Burke (Burke former PG for Columbus, Ohio Northland HS and teammate was Jared Sullinger of now with the C's) and Oladipo (V.O. IU Hoosiers Coach Tom Crean coached at Marquette) were easily the best in the big 10 all season long....
reminds me of Wade County of the Champs 305 who current

McDermott (HS Teammates Ames, Iowa HS with former UNC Star now #DUBnation SF Harrison Barnes) McDermott was Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and his Pops is Head Coach of the 'Jays.

Porter Jr. was the Big East Player of the Year and arguably the Country's best Front Court Player....

Olynyk of Gonzaga led the Zags to the West Coast Conference Championship and he was WCC POY and the Zags were the Overall #1 seed in the NCAA Tourney only to fall in Round of 32.
