Not often in any Draft do you get a Shot at a Franchise-Type, A Game-Changer, or even someone who transcends the game on a different level. The WNBA Draft Lottery was a day or so ago and the Worst Team at least by Record received the Rights to pick #1 in the WNBA 2013 Draft. This is monumental considering who is projected as the #1 Pick in this Years Draft.
Baylor Center and "Monsters Inside the Paint" 2012 Nominee Brittney Griner (pictured below #42) is projected to be the #1 Overall Prospect in the WNBA Draft and she will join the likes Diana Tuarasi, Candace Parker, and Maya Moore as Women's Basketball Game-Changers.
Griner at 6'8" and just over 200 El Bees is a Dominating and Athletic Freak with Length and the prospect of her being still very Raw in her Offensive Arsenal is a Scary thought. She Rebounds and Block Shots like no one else in the Women's Game. She runs the Floor extremely well and has a Back to the Basket Game that is excellent. She plays like she is suppose to play and that's Big. Look at some of the Accolades Griner accomplished in her career at Baylor University:
2012 AP Division 1 Player of the Year
AP 1st Team All-American 2011, 2012
Big 12 Player of the Year 2011, 2012
Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year 2010-2012
2012 WADE Trophy for Best Women's College Basketball Player
Now Griner, who is projected to go #1, will be followed by the other Two Top Prospects in the 2012 WNBA Draft in Notre Dame Skylar Diggins (WF) and Delaware's Elena Delle Donne (Center).
The Top 5 Picks in WNBA Draft are as follows:
1. Phoenix Mercury
2. Chicago Skyy
3. Tulsa Shock
4. Washington Mystics
5. New York Liberty
Griner, Diggins, and Della Donne will have a Major Impact on the WNBA in the 2013 Season....
