Its that simple they are Both Chasing Each Other, chasing the Yankees, and chasing Fall Classic Tourney Dreams and that's what September Baseball is all about. The O's and Rays started their 3-Game Set Tonight in Charm City at Camden and the O's drew 1st Blood with a 9-2 spanking of the Rays.

The O's put Crooked Numbers all over the Scoreboard and the Rays now fall back 2 Games behind both the O's and Yankees as the Bombers lose to the Carmines at Fenway. The Hitting Star for the O's was former Brew Crew Standout SS JJ Hardy as he went 4 for 5 , crossed the Dish 3 Times, knocked in 5 Ducks on the Pond, and 2 Bombs via the 2-Run Shots as he beat the Rays by his lonesome Hardy did.

The O's knocked around Rays Starter Matt Moore and chased him after just 4 Innings of work. O's Starter Jason Hammel only lasted 3 2/3 on an undisclosed Injury. The O's Middle Relief picked up after that going 5 2/3 allowing 1 run on 4 Hits and striking out 7 Rays.

Luckily for the O's in the Series they miss both Rays' Top Pitchers in Price and Shields. As the Rays also miss the O's Top Starters as well.

Something has to give as the O's are Tied with the Yankees and the Rays are #2 in the Wild Card but Only 2 Games back of both the Yankees and O's for the AL East.
