The Great Atlanta Braves Right-Handed Pitchers of John Smoltz, Greg Maddux, and Tim Hudson are of Braves Lore in recent memory. Now move over there is another Right Hander that is making a Case for leading the Braves Rotation in the Next 5 Seasons at least.

RHP Kris Medlen is a Braves Farm Hand and drafted in 2006. He has been lights out in Only 10 Starts this Season going  9-1 with an ERA of 1.51. In his last 8 Starts he is 8-0 with an ERA of 0.76 and has taken the Braves Rotation by Storm. RHP Tim Hudson is 15-6 with a 3.77 ERA and leads the Rotation in Wins. Medlen is pushing the Envelope as he has become virtually untouchable in all of his Starts.

Medlen isn't a Power Pitcher but throws Low 90s with a 2-Seam Fastball which is his Bread and Butter Pitch. Medlen also throws a Curve and Changeup as his 2nd and 3rd Pitches. He mixes all that up with a Four-Seam Express and a Nice Slide Piece in which he used against the Fighting Fish last night striking out 6 in 8 innings. His Movement is incredible on all of his Pitches and his changing of Speeds makes his Two-Seamer look like mid 90s instead of the low 90s it is projected at.

Medlen was August 2012 Pitcher of the Month and watching him last Night in 305 he looked like and I hope I am not getting ahead of myself a Young Greg Maddux with a little bit more of a Pop on his Express. The Movement of his Local (Curve), Slide Piece (Slider), and his Change Up is ridiculous.

If the Braves stay hot and get past that 1-Game Playoff to move into the NL Divisional Series we might all get to see MED-Dawg from the Bump or shall we see him in the 1-Game Playoff coming up in Early October. In that Game who would you Pitch...HUDDIE or MED-Dawg?...There can Only be One. Or would you use them both.....Enquiring SHOW Minds would love to know.
