In the Rich Tradition of College Football on the Division 1-A Level the Bluedude compares to of the Best to not Only do it for their University and State...but All-Time in College Football. One came before the Other an the Comparisons never stopped. One from the Bottom...305...Miami and the Other from the Pan Handle Area of the Sunshine State Pensacola. The First wore Jersey #55 and the Other wore Jersey #10 and #10 it is retired by FSU. They both wore #55 on Sunday and were Top Picks when it was Time to Play for Pay on "Sunday Living". High-School All-Americans they were and both stayed In-State but not Home.

Introducing Two of the Bluedude's Fav of All-Time from my Fall Saturday's Collection...Marvin "Shade Tree" Jones and Derrick"D" Brooks.

The Nickname came from his Massive Physique as a Linebacker as though when he was around there was a lot of Shade following. Marvin Jones was an absolute Monster at FSU for the 'Noles and he covered everything that was in Opposite Color, RBs, TEs, QBs, shedding Blockers, and roaming Sideline to Sideline as though you were playing in his Mama' Backyard.

D-Brooks came in right after "Shade Tree" was leaving for Sunday to continue the Dominance. He was Marvin all over again but it was Brooks' Speed that was his Meal Ticket like a Running Back attacking at every angle was #10 for Legendary Coach Bobby Bowden. Both he an Jones Played Inside as they were Gifted enough to Stop the Run, Shed Blockers, and at the Same time drop in Coverage and Cover RBs, TEs, and some WRs....that fast...that good.I would personally call it Even Steven as both were Head and Shoulders better than there Teammates an coming out of FSU that was saying a lot.

On the Sunday Level D-Brooks was way more Productive as Injuries caught up to "Shade Tree" and slowed him down. A Top Pick by the NY Jets Marvin Jones was he held Gang Green down for the Whole 90s into the 2Ks. The Ironic thing is if you look at where they were drafted Jones a Top 4 and D-Brooks was at the End of the 1st Round as they talked about his Size. It would be safe to say the Pundits missed on D-Brooks completely. Brooks played 14 Years and Jones played 10 Years and they played for the Same Team on Sunday for their Career.

Having said all of that who was the Best Player at FSU?....If you asked Coach Bowden he would say I can't separate them but I will take Both...Same Guy...Same Dominance..."SHADE TREE" and "D-BROOKS"...Florida State University Seminoles Football LORE.
