The 2012 Major College Football Season kicks off with the Pre Season Top 10 'Cocks of South Carolina led by Ole Ball Coach Steve Spurrier traveling to Music City...Nashville, Tennessee to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on ESPN Prime Time August 30, 2012.
Ask yourself why are the Gamecocks ranked so High before the season just a Few Players...and arguably some of the Best at their Respective Positions in the Country:
RB Marcus Lattimore: If it wasn't for a Knee Injury he was right there with 'Bama 1st Rounder Trent Richardson and Lattimore is a Better Receiver out of the Backfield. How well he comes back from that Knee Injury will Tell the Tale.
WR Ace Sanders: Yes he played 2nd Fiddle to 2012 2nd Round NFL Pick Alshon Jeffrey but he is a 1st Fiddle Guy. He will burst on then Scene especially in Ole Ball Coach's Pass 1st Offensive Attack. Barring any Major Setbacks Sanders will put up High Numbers in the SEC.
QB Conner Shaw: He played well as he played behind and in Front of the now gone Oft-Troubled QB Stephen Garcia. Shaw with a Full Off Season under his Belt and him knowing he is the Guy will be up to the Task and a Healthy Lattimore will also make things a lot easier for him.
OLB/DE Jadeveon Clowney: As Good as Advertised and even better. He played Opposite of DE Melvin Ingram and for the most part Clowney never looked like a Freshman and he did look like an even better Ingram. Lookout for a Breakout Sophomore Season..All SEC and All-American in Year 2. Clowney was voted Preseason 1st Team All-SEC already.
CB Akeem Auguste: Pre Season All-SEC and another in a Long Line of Excellent Corners that have called "Cocks Nation" Home with Top 2012 NFL Draft Pick Stephon Gilmore and Texans Pro Bowler Jonathan Joseph to name a Few.
VANDY will counter with All-SEC Pre Season Pick and Running Back Zac Stacy. They also have Defensive Lineman Rob Lohr leading the Other SIde of the Pigskin.
Game Outlook: The Commodores will have to try to Slow Down the Lattimore and make QB Shaw beat them with his Arm and that is easier said than done. They also have to slow down a Fast and Athletic D led by of course True Soph. Jadeveon Clowney.
Ole Ball Coach Spurrier has his Best Team ever at South Carolina and they will not Disappoint at least on this Night....'Cocks cruise by 4 Touchdowns
