NBA.com and Writer Sekou Smith are reporting that the Clippers miss out on one of their bigger Pieces but get the next biggest piece to fall.
The CLIPjoint and the BLAKEshow reportedly agree to a 5-year Deal worth a reported $95 Million as that deal will not kick in until the 2013-14 Season. Griffin is due to make roughly just under $7.8 Million for the 2012-13 Season.
What this means is that the Clips have the BLAKEshow and "Protect this Lob City" by way of Under Armour's DeAndre the Giant for at least the next 4 Seasons together as Jordan signed his 5-year $35 Million Deal before the start of the 2011-12 Season.
In even bigger news for the Clips is Point God CP3 turned down a reported 3-year deal worth $60 Million from the Clips as it was just a formality for both sides. Clios trying to pay him a little less for 3 Years and CP3 trying to more Cash and more years. CP3 is smarter than that and if he waits for the Summer of 2013 CP3 can get a 5-year $108 Million Deal...do the Arithmatic.
Let's take a quick glance at Lob City's 2012-13 Payroll sponsored by Lob City Nation is gaining on the LAKEshow...well at least they are trying:
CP3 $17,779,457
DeAndre the Giant $10,532,977
Lob City Butler $8,000,000
BLAKEshow $7,226,891
R. Gomes $4,000,000
Lob City Mighty Mouse Bledsoe $1,707,720
Lam Lam LO7 $8,200,000 they just picked up from Mavs
Team Options
Travis Leslie/Trey Thompkins $762,195
Salary Cap for 2012-13 Season roughly at $58.4 Million Lam Lam and 2 Team Options picked up...
The Clips are making moves and they are only going to get better why the other team in L.A. County is riding the back end of one of their Legends the Black Mamba. Expect the Clips to eventually be right there with Thunder Alley sooner rather than later.
