NL West Standing for July 12, 2012
W - L GB
1. Dodgers 47-40
2. Gigantes 46-40.... 1/2
3. D-Backs 42-43.....4
4. Padres 34-53....13
5. Rockies 33-52....13
Dodgers: They might have ran away with the Division if it wasn't for CF Matt Kemp going down with a Hamstring. They have struggled of late with Timely Hitting and Starting Pitching. They may have to make a move to put more Offense in that Lineup. Kershaw and Billinsgley will have to carry the Load and they need 1 more Arm to step up in the Rotation.
Giants: They would be in 1st Place if Tim Lincecum would be over .500. The good thing is they have Cain and Bumgarner holding up their end and they have the Melk Man delivering on time in every Park the Giants play in. Melk Man Cabrera, Panda Smash Sandoval, and Backstop Posey will be their Hitting Stars that will carry the Giants load as they try to take the NL West.
D-Backs: They are 1 Game under.500 but they are also 4 Games out of 1st. They are real close and expect the D-Backs to be active in making a Deal because the Dodgers nor the Gigantes will run away with the NL West. LF Jason Kubel has been their leader on the Lumber Side of things with Left-Hand All Star Wade Miley leading the Charge in the Rotation. D-Backs GM Kevin Towers knows it is Time to play a little..."Let's Make a Deal".
Padres: They are Young and way out of the race but they have A lot of Young talent Teams want. Look for the Padres to stay young, take the lumps, and see what the Boys will do next season. The 'Dres could be spoilers down the Stretch to the Top 3 in the NL West.
Rockies: They missed SS Troy Tulowitzki and they have the Future of the Rockies Franchise in Carlos Gonzalez. The one problem for the Rockies is that their Starting Pitching has vacated the premises and that has been their Achilles Heel. The Rockies will play out the Rest of the Season by looking at some of their keep Players and Prospects.
Prediction: If Kemp doesn't get healthy the Giants will win the NL West. The Giants also have the Better Arms and the Bluedude not playing with House Money it will be the Giants by a half a Step.
