There was a time when the Bluedude wondered when Air Jordan quits playing the Game how would he showcase his Scooby Doo if he is no longer out there. The Swoosh was probably though that same scenario a few years into Air Jordan with Marketing Guru and Jordan President Larry Miller who headed Brand Jordan from 1999-2006.
Yes that same Larry Miller that just left the Rip City Blazers as President to do what else back to Jordan at Nike. Then there is the Creator behind the Jordan Tinker Hatfield (Peter Moore designed the 1 and 2 Jordan) who probably has a Concept Jordan Inspired House, Car, Kitchen, Man Cave, Bike, Plate ware, and so on and so forth. These 2 Gentlemen were the Key Ingredients to keeping Brand Jordan o Top.
Nike Basketball was the Brain Trust as they marketed Air Jordan to new heights and it didn't surprise me last week when he stepped down because I already knew where he was going. And back to that Question of how will Air Jordan Shoes and Apparel be marketed when Michael Jeffrey is no longer playing had that answer. BRAND JORDAN.....
The Concept of Keeping the Brand alive with Mike no longer playing but Outfitting some of the Games Finest in arguably the Best Basketball Player ever. Then in the Mid 90s here it came Team Jordan under Brand Jordan. The Original Idea was to out fit the Top Up and Coming Players in the Logo. Just as Innovative as Nike is Jordan Brand President then Larry Miller pushed the Envelope about as hard as Jordan's Chief Designer did making them Tinker Hatfield. It is the King of Scooby Doos and there is no Shoe Game unless Brand Jordan is in it.
Note: It used to be Brand Jordan has what was called PE (player Exclusives) a Scooby Doo where Only Players could get them. Now the PE has gone Public and you can get almost all the Jordans the players wear.
Brand Jordan also created Signature Player Lines inside of the Jordan Umbrella like Jeter, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul etc.
