The Cardinals avenge last nights 11th Inning loss to the North Siders as the Cub struck first with a Lead-Off Big Fly off the Maple, Ash, or Bamboo of OF Junior Lake. That was all the Redbirds needed to see to turn this one into a fast Pitch Sotfball Outing.

The Card down 1-0 in the 2nd put up a crooked four behind a Solo Shot by Matt Adams and three more runs as Adam Wainright even singled in a run. The Redbirds not done puts up a crooked five in the 4th inning as that put Cubs Starter Carlos Villanueva on Ice. His line was three innings allowing nine runs on ten hits striking out two while giving up a Solo Bomb. Wainright gave up a run in the 1st, 4th, and two runs in the 6th as he goes seven allowing four runs on seven hits as he struck out eight Cubbies.

Matt Carpenter and Jon Jay each has two Ribbies for the Cards as Carp, Yadier Molin, and Daniel DesCalso each had two hits as well. The Cubbies Nate Schierholtz and Starling Castro collected two hits each as the North Siders fall to 4-7. The Redbirds move to 6-5 as Wainright is 2-1 on the season.
