In the biggest deal yet in the Logo's Free Agent Frenzy Atlanta Hawks Half Sniper/Half Custodian Joe Johnson gets sent to the Brooklyn Nets and the Hawks get what they want...away from that Terrible Tab they let JJ of Brand Jordan run up in the Highlight Factory on Peachtree Street.

The proposed deal as being reported by NBA.com is the Nets get Joe Johnson and 4 years at just under $90 Million and calculated to an exact $89,296,345 Million and the Highlight Factory gets everything but a Highlight in Guards Jordan Farmar, DeShawn Stevenson, and Anthony Morrow who played his College ball in ATL for the Ramblin' Wreck of Georgia Tech. Plus the Hawks get Bigs Johan Petro and Jordan Williams and a Protected 1st Round pick from the Rockets.

Now the Deal works for both sides as the Hawks are trying to get from underneath all that Cash they gave to JJ and it wasn't easy to give him. One of the Owners from the New Group of the Hawks wouldn't sign off on the JJ Extension and he walked with the others from the Group paying him out of his piece of the Hawks. That particular Owner has to be smiling as though I told you so right now.

JJ has been everything but the Big-Time All Star the Hawks thought they were getting from Phoenix. See I have never had a Problem with JJ but here is my dislikes of Pig Sooie Alum Joe Johnson:

1. He wants to be paid like a #1 but is a Possible #2 on a Championship Contender and more like a 3rd piece to the puzzle.

2. His game is like his demeanor at times..nonchalant and too laid back for a guy getting upwards of 30-35% of a Teams Total Cap Number.

3. He should have stayed in the Valley of the Sun to play with Nash, then Matrix 31 now Shawn Marion, and then STAT now Amare Stoudamire as he would have played 3rd fiddle with Nash being the #1 Piece or JJ n Nash sharing the #1 together.

4. When asked to be a Leader by Example or Vocally he can't. He is too quiet and he doesn't lead with a good example night in and night out as he tends to float way too much for a Player with that type of game.

Brooklyn Nets get a real nice piece if you can get the Joker of the Hudson and the Nets already have Gerald Wallace and he would be an excellent 3rd of 4th Piece for the Nets.

The Hawks get Expiring Contracts and Players they could eventually get rid of rather easily as they knew that they had No Shot of Winning anything and JJ making that kind of Cash with a non-contender was useless.

Now the Hawks find a Taker in the Nets and Nets are looking for Splash Plays in Free Agency to entice D-Will 8 as well as Dwight of Mouse Town.
