The New York Mets had to beat both Zack Grienke and Clayton Kershaw to advance and they did just that as the it was the Jacob deGrom "Coming out Party" for he and the Amazins'! New york advances to host the new Chicago Cubs dba #MaddonBall.
The Mets did it through Daniel Murphy who was a tough out all series long as he single-handily took it right to Greinke and Dodger Blue. "Murph" was 3 for 4 scoring two runs and knocking in two as his game-winning Solo Bomb in the 6th was the difference.
Greinke took the "L" going 6 2/3 frames allowing those three runs on six hits as he struck out nine. De Grom allowed two runs through six on six hits as he struck out seven and walked three. He battled a jam almost in every frame and got out of almost every single one of them.
For Dodger Blue it came down to again just missed plays, pitches, and hits and with the Redbirds gone I like their chances as they go home again. That Mets Pen with Noah Syndergaard leading to Jeurys Familia was lights out as Familia had to go old school with a six out save in "Crunch Time" and he delivered.
Mets now get the upstart Cubbies as that series will start on Saturday October 17, 2015...the 2K15 NLCS for a chance at the 2K15 "Fall Classic"!
