It was the 1- 5 hitters for the Houston Astros that dominated in game 1 as they set the table in frame one and never looked back. The 'Stros went up 2-0 after a 1/2 a frame as K.C. didn't know what hit them. Then Jose Altuve who scored in the 2st went RBI single in the 2nd making it 3-0 'Stros Show.
In the bottom half of the same frame it was Kendrys Morales who took Astros starter Collin McHugh deep for his 1st of two solo Bombs on the night. McHugh had all things working against K.C. Hitters not named Kendrys Morales.
Morales came right back in the bottom half of the 4th after a rain delay to go Solo Bomb #2 cutting that 3-1 deficit to 3-2. Then it was 'Stros OF George Springer who took K.C. reliever Chris Young deep for a solo blast of his own in the 5th making it 4-2 Houston.
Colby Rasmus would then take K.C. reliever Ryan Madson deep in the 8th adding some insurance for a 5-2 lead and the final of 5-2. Royals starter Yordano Ventura went just two frames as he struggled early. McHugh picks up the "W" as Luke Gregorson picks up the save and a 'Stros Show 1-0 lead with game #2 Friday back in K.C....
