The Washington Redskins were up 27-14 early in the 3rd frame and they blew it. The Vikes comeback and score 20 unanswered on the 'Skins to put a real damper on getting back into the NFC East Hunt as both the Cowboys and Eagles had to be rooting for Purple. Vikes QB Christian Ponder played well leading up to an apparent dislocated shoulder. RG3 played well except the 'Skins could not get the Pig in from the 4th as time expired. Skol Nation's RB All Day A.P. scored twice but it was #HTTR RB Big Al Morris who rushed for 139 yards on 26 carries. 'Skins fall to 3-6 as Vikes move to 2-7.
If anyone including myself doubted anything the Baylor Bears have done in 2013 they left no doubt who the cream of the crop is in the Big 12 on Thursday Night. The Bears rolled Boomer Sooner and Stoops Gang 41-12 in a dominating performance. It wasn't so much the Bears Offense as it was the Defense that was equally as impressive holding the Sooners under 200 yards in the Air and under 100 on the ground. But the Road for Baylor has some Pot Holes in it with the Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Hookem' Horns on the last weekend before the Big 12 Championship Game. Sooners looking for a Non-BCS Bowl and to finish in the Top 10 possibly.
The Stanford Cardinals blew the doors off the Oregon Ducks as that 26-20 final is not indicative of what the game was really about. The Most impressive stat in this one was Stanford's ability to rush for 274 yards as they won in the trenches and when you do that...everything is in your favor most likely. The Ducks officially have Kryptonite and it's Red from the Farm in Palo Alto, California. Now Stanford will move up with work to do as the Buckeyes will most likely move up to 3rd having no losses. If both 'Bama and the 'Noles win this weekend the BCS Top Three will be in this order...Roll Tide, FSU, and Ohio State with Stanford #4.
