The former Top QB Recruit from National Powerhouse Las Vegas, NV Bishop Gorman H.S thought he would start out the Spring 2k19 as the clear-cut starter at QB for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Then 2k17 #1 Dual-Threat QB Justin Fields decided to leave the University of Georgia in Athens and come to The Ohio State University and of course the Buckeyes are not going to say no the more the better.
Field arrives as the highest rated recruit ever in Columbus, Ohio and with current Buckeyes QB Dwayne Haskins already headed to the 2k19 NFL Draft Fields with Tate Martell in front of him will battle for the starting slot at QB...well we thought.
Through reports Tate Martell is not sticking around and has entered his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal and that will make the Buckeyes answer to the 2k19 Starting QB easier heading into Spring Practice 2k19.
Martell didn't want to take a chance of becoming the QB always with the headset on for 48 months on Scholarship and never getting a start. One cannot blame Martell as its human nature not to quit but I am a big-time recruit as well and I was told one thing and things happen and turns into madness so let me get outta dodge.
Martell I am sure worked his tail off to start behind Haskins when Haskins left and now he is not taking a chance as FBS Division 1-A Teams needs starters and Martell is high on the list.
