To no ones surprise the Dallas Cowboys have moved on from Offensive Coordinator Scott Linehan as Linehan was told through reports just hours ago he will not be retained. Now moving forward with the Cowboys #1 Soap at Bluedude Sportstalk "As the Cowboys Turn" was it all Linehan or a mix of personnel grouping and that O-Line missing Pro Bowl Center Travis Frederick.Linehan and the 'Boys were 5th in the "Shield" gaining nearly 377 yards per tilt and that slowly regressed as that Cowboys O-Line was battling through injures and missed games. For instance in 2018 the 'Boys gained 343.8 yards per outing which was 22nd int eh NFL but the most important man on any offensive line is the Center as Travis Frederick was out due to medical reasons.
Now that has nothing to do with play-calling directly but it does indirectly in the grand scheme of things. The Cowboys have to hone in on a O-Coordinator that has RB Zeke Elliott on his mind as well as WR Amari Cooper and the Cowboys need a very nice compliment to "Coop" but Center Frederick is the huge key.
They lost in one season TE Jason Witten and WR Dez Bryant from the 2k17 team and that would change any offense in the NFL. Can Jason Garrett call the Plays or get an O-Coordinator with same philosophy as his...which I am thinking is looking like the "Triplets" AB Troy Aikman, RB Emmitt Smith and WR the "Playmaker" Michael Irvin?
