The Chicago Bears after a week of feeling nothing but the #Fight4George Playoff Blues they get really good news. The Bears will hire former Indianapolis Colts lead man and former Baltimore Ravens D-Coordinator Chuck Pagano dba #ChuckStrong as their new Defensive Coordinator.Pagano comes over from his Colts Gig with a lot of success. From 2012-2014 he led the Colts to 11-5 W-L in each of those three seasons losing in the first round of the playoffs in all three seasons. He is a Defensive Backs Coach by trade and was D-Coordinator for the Ravens (2011) and DBs Coach and Special Teams Coach for the Miami Fla. Hurricanes from 1995-2000 under Butch Davis former Browns lead man.
As for the Bears Scheme under former D-Coordinator Vic Fangio they should be running the same Base 3-4 with more pressure then they ran with Fangio. Pagano runs more Blitz Packages and has the personnel to be creative with #52 Khalil Mack and those DL with Eddie Goldman and Akiem Hicks. That Ravens "D" was dynamic in that front 7 led by Ray Lewis and Haloti Ngata along with Terrell Suggs and Coach Pagano has those same type of pieces with Chicago and faster and younger.Great hire "Monsters of the Midway"...
