The Toronto Blue Jays have officially moved on from that 2k15-16 Era where they saw Jose Bautista dba "Joey Bats", Edwin Encarnacion, "Tulo" in Troy Tulowitzki, Josh Donaldson and now Russell Martin.

The Blue Birds have ended one of their best runs in recent memory and not have unloaded all five of those above mentioned players with Matin getting news today he will be headed to Chavez Ravine for home games for the L.A. Dodgers.

A bargain contract ($82 million for 60 months) for a man who was pivotal in that Clubhouse and thinking back the Blue Birds would have not reached their ultimate success without Backstop #55 in 2015-16 in those Pennant Runs. This move also helps both parties involved as the Dodger need a Backstop losing Yasmani Grandal to the Beer Makers earlier this week.

The Blue Birds trading Martin clears the path for both Danney Jansen and Reese McGuire. The Dodgers still have work to do as Martin is no longer a 130 plus games Backstop and they know that and he knows that.
