The Pittsburgh Steelers got it right back in the 1998 NFL Draft at Pick #26 overall as they selected then LSU Tigers All-American and Outland Trophy Finalist Alan Faneca. Yes you can miss on all the other draft picks but those first rounders through maybe the majority of 3rd rounders you can't keep missing or you will be bottom feeders forever.
Faneca was just nominated again as an NFL HOF Finalist and the odds don't get any easier in his second go round as he was also voted to the NFL 2000's All-Decade Team as the best OG in the NFL from 2000-2007 all with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He then went onto solid years with the Gotham City Jets and a final season with the Arizona Cardinals when then ex-Steelers O-Coordinator Ken Whisenhunt grabbed everything Steelers like he was shopping at the Steelers Pro Shop for ex-Steelers Players.
