They stood in the ring and fought punch after punch and in the end the Scorecard read in a unanimous decision 126-121 and moving to Round 2...Lob City dba Los Angeles Clippers Basketball Club.
The Clippers down 64-56 at the break as the Warriors brought their A-Game and they have the "Splash Brothers". It was the subtle adjustments the Clips made at the break as they put more ball pressure early on Steph or the primary ball handler to work that 24 second clock and give them few time to get into their sets. That worked as the Clips took the lead 73-72 with just under six minutes to go in the 3rd. The Warriors stayed close though trailing at the end of three 87-84.
In the 4th the Clips and Warriors just traded blow after blow and the Dubs defense collapsed as they allowed way too many Dunks as the Clips were playing Nerf Rim late. G.S.W. had their last lead at 109-108 with just above two minutes to go as Blake Griffin made some spectacular plays along with the Clips hitting all their free throws.
Blake had a team-high 24 points and six boards with CP3 adding 22 points and some fourteen helpers. Jamal Crawford (22 pts) and JJ Redick (20 pts) combined to shoot 6 for 14 from the Arc. Steph Curry had a game-high 33 points with nine assists as he led seven Warriors in double figures. Draymond Green added 24 points and grabbed seven boards as the Warriors were +18 in points from the Arc and +3 from the Stripe. The Clips just had more "Points in the Paint" and the high-percentage shots.
Now the Clips after an emotional week and a half tackle the OKC Thunder in Thunder Alley for two to start the series and that should be a dandy of a series...
