There isn't a lot of conversation right now leading up to this three-piece as both the Buccos and Redbirds know what's at stake and it's the fist weekend in September. The Redbirds come off losing three of four from the Red Legs. The Buccos in turn come off of taking two of three from the Beer Makers in Beer Town USA to stay ahead in the NL Central leading up to this one. Whoever loses the Top spot in the Central will get the one-game playoff and it will involve two of three of these teams...Redbirds, Buccos, or Red Legs...it's that simple! Pirates late August Pick Ups of Justin Morneau and Marlon Byrd might be the difference in that Buccos Line Up.

Kelly has been the most consistent of Redbirds Hurlers of late. The Pirate are trying to get young Jeff Locke back on track and his last start shows he might begetting his 2nd wind. Burnett has struggled as has Wainright in their last few starts. This should be a hitters series.
