It's back for a dry run as the defending World Champion Chicago Blackhawks will take the ice versus a Team that had them on the ropes in the Detroit Red Wings. The Hawks have a six-game pre-season that will conclude with a date with the Caps and 2012-13 Hart Trophy Winner (NHL MVP) Alexander the Great Ovechkin.

The Hawks have most of their core back as they try to make a another run which is most certainly possible giving the facts that the heart of that core is barley 25 in Jonathan "Toewser" Toews and Patrick "Citizen" Kane 88. The Hawks also picked up Back-Up Net Minder and former Hawks Goalie Nikolai Khabibulin. The Depth is getting younger and younger and the Hawks are not just built for 2012-14 but GM Stan Bowman is building the Hawks to have a run at the Cup at least for the next Decade.
