The Memphis Grizzlies get over that OKC Hurdle and now they have to get over one more and it will be the Grizz in the Finals for for the time in franchise history. A lot of work still lies ahead but they beat a feisty OKC Outfit 88-84 as Z-Bo goes Man-Sized on OKC again.
Behind 28 points and fourteen rebounds from @MacBO50...Zach "Z-Bo" Randolph and a very balanced attack that defends better than anyone in the Logo this side of the Mississippi the Grizz roll to the Western Finals. Conley Jr. was the MVP of the Series as he netted 13 points, seven rebounds, and eleven helpers. West Side Tony chipped in with 11 points and Gasol 10 points and seven rebounds. It was Conley's Play on the PKC Guards that as a big advantage for the Grizz and he took full advantage of it.
The Thunder played well enough to win but without Uncle Russ, and not taking anything away from the Grizz, the Thunder had tough sledding versus the #REDnation Rockets in Round 1. With limited scoring in that OKC Front Line and no Russ they couldn't overcompensate for losing Russ in another series as the Grizz just wore KD down. KD still netted 21 points, eight rebounds, and six assists but also had seven turnovers and most of that is because Russ is not out there. KD's Game suffered the most with no Russ on the floor and the Grizz have three of the top eleven defenders in the Logo and West Side Tony is super tough and add no Russ KD had his work cut out for him every night. The lone bright spot for OKC was 2nd year PG Reggie Jackson developing with his game and that will be a plus when Russ comes back as they can Russ off the Orange at more at shooting guard.
Grizz now await the winner from the Spurs/GSW Series that looks like it might go to a dreaded game seven.
