Just like in the early Part of this Series it was all about Pitching and its still all about the Pitching except that word MO has shifted. Behind a Gutty Performance from Vogelsong from the Bump and Scutaro at the Dish the Gigantes force a Game 7 in the 2012 NLCS by beating the Cards 6-1.The Giants Right-Hander went 7 strong Innings allowing 1 Run on 4 Hits and struck out 9 Redbirds. Vogelsong received his Offensive Help from 2B Marcos Scutaro who was 2 foe 3 knocking in 2 Runs while scoring 2 Runs. In a Game that was for the Giants win or go home they came up big.
Redbirds Starter Chris Carpenter only lasted 4 Innings giving up 5 Runs on 6 Hits with 6 K's and 2 Free Passes. Carp hasn't been his Old Self and it may have something to do with the Long Layoff this 2012 Season being injured. On top of Carps' Performance Redbird Hitters were a combined 5 for 33 and they only left 8 Ducks on the Pond. Now the Cards have to win on Monday Night as it is a Game 7 and someone will be disappointed.
