Ask yourself...Do the Clips really have a chance at even getting a Victory vs the Spurs? It is not a mis match by any stretch but what it is is a Reality Check for the Clips.

On Spurs Point God Tony Parker's 30th Birthday he delivered blow after blow in his match up with CP3. Parker gets 22 points, 5 helpers, 5 boards, 3 pick pockets, and since I am here...anyone of you over in Red need Cake and not Rihanna's. The Spurs beat the Clips 105-88 and the Clips are -16.5 point margin in the series. They are about as close to beating Pops and His Boys as the BLUEDUDE gathering a Team at the River walk in the Alamo City and playing the Spurs.

LOB City has stretches where they are doing the right thing and giving the Spurs more than they can handle. But they do it in spurts not for a Quarter or even a half. CP3 had 10, 4 rebs, and 4 helpers and the BLAKEshow had 20 pts. and 1 board.....huh! If you get that kind of production out of your 1 and 2 options you need to throw in the For Bare Feet Brand NBA Towels or are they McArthur Brand Towels?

Let's take a look at the PLAYBOOK on the SPURS and what they try to do offensively to counter what ever your doing against them Defensively.

PLAYBOOK Alamo City...San Antonio Spurs

The one thing the Spurs like to do is run a One-Man Fastbreak and the Lead Man is TP9. The Only Guard in the Logo in the Top 10 in FG% why....he takes High Percentage Shots which are of the Lay Up Variety.

When the Spurs get into a Half Court Set they like to use Shooters (Bonner, Green, Neal, and Manu) to Spread the Floor out so One....you can't keep TP9 out of the paint and Two...if they go to Dunc on the Block they force your hand. you double Dunc we will make you pay with the Shooters knocking down Money Balls.  If you chase them off the Arc you MUST be SOUND in your Defensive ROTATIONS or eventually the Spurs will get a High Percentage Look.

The Clips have to try to shut TP9's Water off and then see if the others can go off because once TP9 is going and getting to the Rim the whole Offense for the Spurs is unstoppable.

As I do My Playbook one thing is consistent in the Logo. You know what Teams are running but can you stop it. This is why the Zen Master's Great Assistant Tex Winter's Triangle Offense was so effective because of the ongoing Options the Lakers and Bulls had within the Triangle. It was just very unpredictable and an Advance Scout instead of looking at Sets in the Triangle the only thing you had to go on was the Personnel within the Triangle. Off the subject this is why the LAKEshow isn't as effective in the half Court Set using Mike Brown's Traditional Screen and Roll or Pop and Bigs to Perimeter Game and even the Archaic ISO Offense that WOODsanity used in NYC with Melo...going nowhere.
