The Dallas Mavericks stop the bleeding as they finally came home for some home-cooked meals, sleeping in their own beds and Mavs Nation in the stands. A 122-119 "W" for Dallas came down to a potential game-tying Money Ball from the "Brow" Anthony Davis that clanked off the back of the iron for the Mavs win.
Dallas' Attack was led by Slovenian Star Luka Doncic as the Mavs got it right drafting him and trading for him on draft night as one Mavs Owner Mark Cuban did go against the Mavs Brain Trust in not taking Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Mavs Basketball Ops wanted him desperately with Cuban playing Shark Tank saying no deal we will pass.
Well Doncic messed around and almost went triple-double with 21 points with ten helpers and nine boards. Mavs "Big" DeAndre Jordan added 20 points while hauling in a dozen boards. It was the Mavs Bench led by JJ Barea (18 pts) and Devin Harris (16 pts) that spear headed this "W" by Dallas.
New Orleans had their chances as Anthony Davis (pictured right) had his usual helping of 32 points and eighteen boards with Jrue Holiday dropping 25 points and six boards with five helpers. Former Dallas high School Star Julius Randle (Prestonwood Christian in Plano, TX) chipped in with 23 points as he was Top 3 in that Class nationally with Jabari Parker (Chicago, IL Simeon H.S.) and Aaron Gordon (San Jose, CA Archbishop Mitty).
A game that was won at the foul line as Dallas shot 38 and Nawlins' 30...yes that kinda night! N.O.P. falls to 15-20 while Dallas moves to 16-17...
