The New York Rangers coming into Game 2 having already taken home ice away from the Penguins was looking for another "W" to put the Pens in a corner heading back to World's Most Famous for games 3 and 4. What the Rangers didn't have was legs as they have been playing every other night for a bout a week to a week and a half and they looked to be gassed late in game 2.
The Pens struck first after a restless Pens Nation watched a 1st frame with no lighting of the lamp foe either team at the at the new Igloo the Consol Energy Center. Midway through the 2nd frame it was Pens much talked about Defensman Kris Letang getting a Wrister past the Blue Shirts and Swedish Five-Star Net Minder Henrik Lundqvist to make it 1-0 Pens. That would be al, the scoring in the 2nd as the 3rd period started with both Pens Stars Russian Geno Malkin and Canadian Sidney Crosby yet to have any points in this series as Crosby Pointless streak dates back to the Columbus Series in Round 1.
It was Jussi Jokinen from Finland giving the Pens some insurance late in the 3rd with a snap shot as Malkin made it 3-0 capping the scoring on a Wrister with under a minute to go and maybe that will get him going. Pens Net Minder Marc-Andre Fleury was dynamite stopping all 22 shots and Lundqvist stopped 32 of 34 shots as he was under duress all game long from that Pens Offense.
Then Series now heads back to Gotham City where World's Most Famous will be rocking as that Rangers Teams need some rest as they just ran out of steam in the middle of the 2nd period it seemed in game 2.
