The Pittsburgh Steelers were for sure going to get a Cornerback in the 2014 NFL Draft in the 1st round and what they got shocked more than a few. They went "D" and went "Speed" early as everyone is always talking how "Old" and "Slow" that Steelers Defense is. How will the 2014 Steelers Draft Class play out and what their Grade?

Round Overall Pick Pos. Player College

1 (15) LB Ryan Shazier Ohio State

2 (46) DE Stephon Tuitt Notre Dame

3 (97) RB Dir Archer Kent State

4 (118) WR Martavis Bryant Clemson

5 (157) CB Shaq Richardson Arizona

5 (173) OT Wesley Johnson Vanderbilt

6 (192) LB Jordan Zumwalt UCLA

6 (215) DT Daniel McCullers Tennessee

7 (230) TE Rob Blanchflower UMass

Shazier Fast is Fast and he should fit right into LawDawg Timmons, Vince Wiliams, and Sean Spence as he should be a Day 1 Starter...

Tuitt can play inside/out and with "Fear the Beard' Brett Keisel likely retiring and Ziggy Hood gone to J'Ville Mr. Tuitt has a chance for immediate impact...

Archer was the fastest at the NFL Combine running a 4.26 and he will be in Special Grouping Packages on the Offense to highlight that lightning speed...

Bryant is a big Red Zone Target for Big Ben and the Offense at 6' 4" 210 plus El Bees...

Richardson defiantly wasn't the CB that the Steelers were looking for as (Bears Kyle Fuller #14 pick) was their 1st pick the Bears jumped on Fuller one pick ahead of the Bears.

Johnson adds to the mix on the O-Line led by HOF Player and former Titans Coach Mike Munchak the new Steelers O-Line Coach...adds to Depth only!

Zumwalt is summarized as a competitor and will most likely be headed to Special, Teams if he makes the squad...

McCullers should be in the Defensive Line Rotation for the Steelers as they keep adding young players in then trenches...

Branchflower has a shot as the Steelers Heath Miller and David Paulson, and Matt Spaeth are on the TE Depth Chart...

Steelers Overall Grade B...Shazier and Tuitt might be Day 1 Starters as they almost have to be
