The A's outscored the rays 11-5 and not on Sunday bit for the Three-Game Set and the Rays are officially in need of a Life Jacket as they are in a Blender. The A's take it to the rays and finish off a 6-1 week that started taking three of four from the Motor City Tigers in Comerica and they then finish the Sweep of the Rays on Sunday as the rays have fallen 5.5 games back in the AL East and in the #2 slot in the AL Wild Card. That is behind...you guessed it the Swingin' Athletics.

The A's on Sunday used what they have been using in this recent hot streak in the Show's #1 Brand Cereal in CF Coco Crisp and everyone in the A's Clubhouse is chomping this. Crisp started the game with a lead-off Jack his 16th of 2013 and that opened up the flood gates as Rays Skip Maddon had no leash as he was sending Pitchers to the Clubhouse as he had seen enough. The A's also get Ribbies from Moss, Barton, Sogard, and Vogt. The Rays used some six pitchers as the A's rode Starter A.J. Griffin as he went seven allowing just one run a Solo Bomb to Rays first baseman James Loney. Griff then struck out seven and walked one allowing five hits.

The Rays just simply ran into a team that is playing like its wants a Division and and AL Pennant. The Rays now have work to do but it's only Labor Day Weekend and not the end of September. The A's are just a game back of Texas in the AL West and to the ranger Credit they have had to play good hardball to stay ahead of the A's in the A's recent streak. Rangers and Athletics going down to the last drop...in the AL West.
