The Cincinnati Red Leg know there is no better time than now as its head to head and the Redbirds and Buccos both need to know there is a Passenger in the back seats of that NL Central Lead Car and they want to be driving ASAP!

The Red Legs beat the Redbirds 7-2 behind a methodical approach at the Dish vs Wainright and Red Legs RHP Mat Latos going O-Zone Layer on the Bump. Latos goes Complete Job allowing two runs on four hits while striking out just two. But more importantly he saves the Pen and everyone gets a day off from the Bump.

The Redbirds Wainright at the same token was as fortunate as the Red Legs put runs up in the first four innings including a crooked three in the 2nd frame. Wainright went six but gave up six runs on ten hits as he walked three and struck out two. Red Legs CF Choo took Wainright for a Two-Run Bomb in then 2nd and Joey Votto goes Solo Bomb in the 4th as Wainright needs to stay away from Cincy for the time being as good as he has been in 2013. Carpenter and Holliday both get RBI's as the Redbirds need to crank it up before they leave town with a mess on their hands.

Cincy now closes within 2.5 games of the Redbirds as the lead is still 3.5 games as the Buccos took care of the Beer Makers in Milwaukee 5-2.
