Tigers Pitcher Doug Fister took the challenge upon himself as the Tigers have not been playing their best Hardball of late to go in Fenway and take game one from the Carmines. Well that's exactly what he did as Fister went seven allowing four hits and no ducks to get to the dish as the Tigers beat the Carmines 3-0. Lackey pitched just as well as the game went into the 7th scoreless as the Tigers trike with two in the 7th and one in the 8th. Maybe the Carmines should have went to their Pen although Lackey was throwing well. Lack went 7 1/3 innings giving up three runs on seven hits while he walked one and struck out five. Prince Fielder and Andy Dirks knocked in two of three runs for the Tigers off Lackey.

Now with game one in the books this three-piece impacts the Junior Circuit's Overall best W-L Record  with the Red Sox and Tigers one and two in the AL as well as the AL East and AL Central. The Carmines came in with a 5.5 game lead over the Rays. The Tigers came in with an eight game lead over the Tribe in the Central. The rest of the Series Preview between the Tigers and Red Sox:

TIGERS @ CARMINES Three-Piece from Fenway...

September 2, 2013 1pm ET
DET Fister (W) 3 BOS Lackey (L) 0 F

September 3, 2013 7:10pm ET
DET Mad Max Scherzer (19-1) vs BOS Lester (12-8)

September 4, 2103 7:10pm ET
DET Porcello (11-7) vs BOS Dempster (7-9)

That game two with Mad Max Scherzer trying to get "W" #20 vs Red Sox Ace Lester should be a must-see at Fenway on Tuesday. Porcello and Dempster on "Get Away" Day might be bigger than it looks depending on how game two turns out.
