Both the Redbirds and Red Legs get what they needed form their starter as they both Mike Wacha from St. Louis and Homer Bailey of Cincy throw a combined scoreless thirteen innings as it was left up to the Pens to put in work.

Behind a a stolen base and scoring the lone run on a Two-bagger from Red Legs Hot Corner Todd Frazier pinch-runner Billy Hamilton of the Red Legs beat the Cards 1-0. Hamilton was just called up on Monday and his Fast is Fast than your Fast because he can out run his own Fast and if that didn't make any sense he is just ridiculously "Speedy Gonzalez" on the base path. Red Legs Starter Bailey went seven allowing no runs on two hits as he struck out eight and issued one free pass through seven. Redbirds Starter Mike Wacha matched him through six with a scoreless three-hitter allowing two free passes and striking out three Red Legs Hitters. The Redbirds picked a bad time to be having a Power Outage as though the same person that shutdown the Super Bowl is walking around terrorizing Ball Clubs in the Show in contention.

The Red Legs now move into that vaunted territory in the NL Central trailing the Redbirds by just 1.5 games and the NL Central leading Buccos by just three and it is September 3rd. This means get it done...or get off the Port-A-Potty ASAP!

For Redbirds Nation it's a Four-Piece so there is Wednesday and Thursday...aka "Get Away" Day to get back these first two L's.

Note: Red Legs RHP Homer Bailey now (10-10) has to drive Skip Dusty and the Red Legs Pitching Coach Bryan Price as Bailey could look like he has #4 or #5 Stuff them comeback and throw Gems and No No's with #1-like stuff...Wow!
