JOEY VOTTO gets a well-deserved 3-year $38 Million deal from RED LEGS of CINCY for an outstanding year which brought him and the REDS the NL MVP.

VOTTO was 2nd in AVG with .324, 3rd in Homers and Runs batted in with 37 and 113. Also led National League in Slugging % with .600 and on-base % with .424.

The DEAL has said to cover all the remaining arbitration years VOTTO was to recieve if a deal was not done. The CORNERSTONE and building block of the REDS will be around for a few more years and the REDS and Skip Dusty BAKER couldn't be happier.
