MEYER vs PATERNO......SABAN takes on East Lansing where he used to coach....TCU and UCONN overmatched

The NCAA College Football Bowl Season has already started and the Big GAMES are coming up including the NAT'L Championship Game of OREGON vs AUBURN.

JANUARY 1st was usually the start and the end of the Bowl Season. Now with TV rights and the BCS games have trickled into a week and sometimes a week and a half past New Year's Day.

Let's take a closer look at some of the BCS Teams that will be on display January 1st 2011:

TICKET CITY BOWL DALLAS, TEXAS

NORTHWESTERN VS TEXAS TECH: In the battle of 2 teams that finished 3-5 in conference play but did good enough in non-conference to get it done. NW WILDCAT Coach Pat Fitzgerald is a stud and the BLUEDUDE is wavering on him staying in Evanston pass 2012. The Red RAIDERS did pretty good considering the circumstances and under new Coach Tommy TUBBERVILLE. The BIG 12 is no shopping spree and this game will be a battle of wills as this one is evenly matched.

OUTBACK BOWL TAMPA, FLA

FLORIDA VS PENN STATE: In the BAttle of one coach retiring and the other coach under speculation of retiring....this one should be battle as STATE Coach Joe PA might be thinking this is the last one eventhough he has said not. GATOR Coach Urban MEYER knows this is the one and he will try to exit at the top........and Boy if he never comes back again Urban can say I beat Joe PA in my last game as a head coach. Both Teams inexperienced at key positions and this might be a game where whoever takes care of the ball will win it.

CAPITAL ONE BOWL ORLANDO, FLA

ALABAMA VS MICHIGAN STATE: Saban used to call East Lansing home...now he will take his third major program into this tussel against a very good and physical STATE team lead by Super Linebacker Greg JONES. Coach D'antonio of STATE will have his GREEN ready as well SABAN and this will be a big time backyard brwal with the team who wins the line of scrimmage.....will win the game.

PROGRESSIVE GATOR BOWL JACKSONVILLE, FLA

MISSISSIPPI ST VS MICHIGAN: COACH MULLINS vs COACH RODRIGUEZ...........2 contarsting styles and something has to give.......both squads are rebuilding for next year and the BULLDOGS have played well all year. The MAIZE and BLUE have to get back to playing Michigan football............Power I pro sets and being very physical on defense. Michigan Coach Rodriguez must win this game as echoes of STANFORD Coach Jim Harbaugh seem to be gaining some momentum. Coach Mullins, who was an offensive coordinator under Urban MEYER at UTAH and FLORIDA, turned down the Hurricane job in MIAMI......still GATOR Blood in him.

ROSE BOWL GAME presented by VIZIO PASADENA, CA

WISCONSIN VS TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY: This is not the match-up the HORNED FROGS of TCU wanted. Already out manned and giving up size on most nights now they have to face a UW MADISON Team and offensive line that is Mammoth. The 2-headed monster of James WHITE , the freshman from Ft. LAUDERDALE and John CLAY, the Junior from Racine WiSCONSIN, should be too much to prove for the HORNED FROGS. TCU on the other hand has been blowing people out and very explosive on offense but the only real problem to the whole scenario is that both teams styles are so far apart it can and will become a huge problem for TCU...........Horned FROGS Team and followers enjoy the SO CAL Weather.........because the trip might turn for the worse on GAMEDAY.

UCONN VS OKLAHOMA: Look if this was a basketball game I woul give it 5 stars.....but it isn't........In OU Norman you have a tradition that is unmatched in College Football.....and in UCONN.........that tradition is just getting started........GOOD LUCK UCONN.......BOOMER SOONER and Coach BOB STOOPS need this one and this is right down their alley for the taking. Hats Off to UCONN for winning the BIG EAST....now REALITY....a BIG DOSE of IT
