The New Orleans Saints advance but not after a scare early and late as they move on in the #Fight4George dba George Halas Trophy 3 Week Tourney single elimination and will host the Los Angeles Rams.

The Philadelphia Eagles to their credit had Saints Faithful and the Superdome as quiet as a visiting team could get it as the Eagles moved up 14-0 for the Dome was filled to capacity. First scoring drive was started by an INT off Saints QB Drew Brees and it was the first play of the game.

That led to a 7 plays 76 yards drive ending in a Nick Foles to WR Jordan Matthews for six. Then the Eagles strike again on the next possession going 10 plays for 75 yards as Foles ran this one in. That Eagles "D" was playing up to snuff and the game was won as the Eagles Offense could no longer sustain momentum or drives to keep Brees and Company off the turf.

A 14-0 score in the 2nd as Brees led a 12 play 79 yard drive down the field for a Brees to WR Keith Kirkwood TD reception making the score 14-7 Eagles. That Will Lutz FG at the end of the 2nd was the momentum shifter making it 14-10 Eagles but more importantly it felt like the Eagles still had a 14-0 lead.

The Saints in the second half used a 18 play 92 yard drive in the 3rd ending in a 2 yard TD pass Brees to Michael Thomas and that time of possession just wore down Philly's "D" you could see it and feel it. The Eagles were still in it despite a 20-17 lead after another Saints FG as Lutz did miss a huge FG attempts under the three minute mark.

The Eagles were driving for at least the game-tying FG when a Nick Foles to Alshon Jeffery pass went right through Jeffery;s mitts and Saints Pro-Bowl CB Marshon Lattimore hauled in his 2nd INT on the night and that capped a Saints "W"!

New Orleans now faces the Los Angeles Rams as its #1 vs #2 and that's how it should be next Sunday in the Superdome...

Cleats off to Philly Faithful as at 6-7 who knew the Champs knew they had a run left in them and that's a huge credit to lead man Pederson and that Locker Room!
