The Los Angeles Chargers had the game tape from the last meeting just weeks ago and boy did they adjust as the Chargers win 23-17 and it wasn't that close. The Ravens to their credit kept coming but in the end it was the Bolts moving onto next week for Sunday Date Night with the Boston Patriots!

Behind seven Red Jersey Collections and a dominating first half and 3rd frame that Chargers "D" was all business. Rush End Melvin Ingram #54 (pictured left) in your Bolts Gameday Program wreaked havoc with 7 solo tackles and two red jersey collections along with two tackles for loss. He also hit Ravens QB Jackson twice and recovered a fumble.

Then you add Chargers QB Philip Rivers going 22 for 32 for 160 yards and methodically taking apart that complex Ravens "D" it was all L.A.. The Chargers RB by Committee led by Melvin Gordon combined for 89 yards on 33 touches and they needed every last touch and blade of grass keeping that Ravens "D" at bay.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson had his issues as he had just -2 yards passing and 76 total yards offensively with just over ten minutes left in the 4th. He got it going in that frame and they made it a game. Lamar threw for 194 yards on 14 for 29 and two TDs and an INT and if you didn't watch the game the numbers are a bit misleading.

That Ravens running attack was held in check by Bradley and company as they gained just 90 yards and most of that in then 4th. L.A. running a base 4-3 with an extra DB/Safety in the box took away everything the Purple Browns were trying to do and they couldn't make adjustments with Jackson limited in the vertical passing game.

I always say this you can copy the Chargers Defensive Approach but do you have the personnel to do so be careful. Now the Bolts get Tom Brady next Sunday and the Chargers will be more than ready. Are the four best teams left in the #Fight4Lamar playing I think so.

Ravens now turn all their attention to lead man John Harbaugh who I think is still on the move and out of Baltimore...he still has one year remaining on his deal so a trade might have to happen to get him.
