Give the Pacers Credit as they all came together in that Players Only Meeting and told each other we need to get back to "Pacers" Brand Basketball and put "Area 55" back in the Midwest on the GPS Locator and ride the Big Fella out! Meanwhile if the Wizards Point God John Wall had an above average game the Wiz Kids D.C. have a two-game lead as he left his game back at the Motel or at the local Nap Town Nightspots!
The Pacers down 45-43 at the break went back to what they really are and that is a solid NBA Defensive Team. They have no 5-Star Offensive Weapons as collectively they have to operate going Inside and Out. They figured that out taking the lead in the 3rd frame 68-64. Then game then turned to a back and forth affair as the Pacers up 82-79 with just over three minutes to go stopped the Wiz from scoring as both Wall ( two Money Balls Missed) and Beal (one Money Ball Missed) as nearly three minutes elapsed of the clock and that's when Pacers Lance Stephenson hit a "J" to put the Pacers up for good 84-79 as they go onto win 86-82.
Roy Hibbert was back as "Area 55" as he had a game-high 28 points grabbing nine Oranges on 10 of 13 and 8 for 8 from the line. Now T-Mac and Agent Zero can get somewhere with all that talk...Lol! George Hill added 14 with Lance chipping in with a Dozen points and seven helpers and hauling in five Oranges.
The Wiz Kids D.C. gets 21 points and eleven boards from Polish Star Marcin Gortat with Bradley Beal dropping 17 points and seven helpers. It was the play of John Wall that hurt the Wizards as he controls what they do offensively and a 2 for 13 is unacceptable on any level from an All-Star PG. Wiz shot 24% from the Arc and just 42% from the Stripe and that spelled gloom and doom.
Games 3 and 4 will be D.C. starting Friday May 9th at 8pm ET...series tied 1-1
