Rockets Franchise Star James Harden comes into OKC Two behind KD 25.9 ppg (3rd) at 25.1 ppg in Scoring (5th) and Three spots ahead of Uncle Russ who is at 21.1 ppg. The Rocket Star is getting plenty of help from Forwards Chandler Parsons and Patrick Patterson. The Rockets come in a respectable 7-7 and on a 3 Game Win Streak.
The Regulators have found their Rotations and now are moving into Phase 2 as everyone seems to be comfortable with their Respective Roles. OKC comes into the Game 11-4 and on a 2 Game Win Streak. The Thunder will be locked in on James Harden as they know he will Erupt but for how much and when will he do his Damage? The Focal Point should be on Versatile Chandler Parsons at SF and Patrick Patterson at SF. Parsons feeds off of Harden and at his Size and Versatility is a Tough Match Up for most on every night. He can get you off the Bounce, Post Up with a Face Up or Back to the Basket, is Deadly from the Land of Plenty, and can play some point Forward. As valuable as Harden is Parsons is darn close to being just as valuable. PF Patrick Patterson is the Rockets best low Post Defender and he is a Glass Eater. The Thunder have to negate Parsons and Patterson from doing damage along with Harden. Linsantiy is no worry with Uncle Russ in front of him.
Thunder PG Russ Westbrook has a distinct Advantage over the Rockets Guards and look for him to be aggressive on the Offense End. The Rockets will throw a Host of Defenders at KD and probably starting with Parsons or Patterson. Keeping Rockets New Big Omer Asik off the Glass will be Perk and Thabeet's Job as well as Collison and Ibaka. The Rockets want to go 94 x 50 the entire game and the Thunder have to make them work in the Half Court. The Thunder have an advantage at the Small Forward as the Rockets have No One to check KD...no one.
