If the Bluedude would have said a QB will throw for 400 plus Yards and Two Running Backs will run for over 65 Yards what would you have said? Brees for the Saints threw for 400 and Burner Turner and Rodgers of the Falcons both ran for over 65 Yards right. Guess again as Matty Ice of the Dirty Birds throws for 411 Yards and Saints Backs Ingram and Ivory both go over 65 Yards on the Ground. Who won the Game is whole other Pigskin of Wax.The New Orleans Saints held a National Football League Team under 30 Points and won the Game. The Saints used a Balanced Attack vs the falcons and that was good enough to get a 31-27 Win and give the Falcons their 1st Loss of the Season. Both Teams had over 400 Yards of Total Offense but it was the Saints who had 148 Yards Rushing and 292 Passing that won the Game. The Falcons inability to Run the Pigskin or even abandon the Run will be a Lesson for them moving Forward as in Winning Time in January Teams need to have a Run Game or you will Stage left quickly.
Matty Ice threw for 41 Yards on 34 of 52 and Three in the Saints End Zone and a Pick. The Peach Drop 3...Gonzo, Roddy, and Julio combined for 22 Grabs for 311 Yards and 2 scores. The Drop Off was the Run Game in Burner Turner's 13 carries for 15 Yards and Rodgers' 3 carries for 29 yards. That Dirty Bird Nation will not get it done on Sunday.
The Saints Drew Brees was 21 of 32 for 298 Yards and Three Scores and a Pick. The Big Red of NOLA..Saints TE Jimmy Graham showed Falcons Gonzalez who the New Sheriff is in Town with 7 grabs for 146 Yards and 2 Scores. Lance Moore also had a Big Game Receiving with 7 grabs for 91 yards. The Saints may have found their Stride on D and giving up 27 Points is nothing to brag about but for the Saints D that was Par for the Course.
Now the Falcons go back to the Drawing Board 8-1 and the Saints 4-5 with chances for an NFC Wild Card still in the balance.
