The First thing the owners did was get rid of Then Head Coach DON NELSON and hire from within in assistant coach KEITH SMART and what a smart move. Then they got real aggressive in going after a somewhat coveted Free Agent in PF DAVID LEE of the Knicks from the FLORIDA GATORS by way of CHAMINADE HS in ST. LOIUS, MO. .

In a SIGN and TRADE with the KNICKS the Knicks received PF ANTHONY RANDOLPH of the LSU TIGERS by way of SEAGOVILLE HS near DALLAS TX, SF/SG KELENNA AZABUIKE from TULSA OK VICTORY CHRISTIAN HS and KENTUCKY WILDCATS, and GONZAGA PF and FRENCHMAN RONNY TURIAF. The WARRIORS signed LEE to a whopping 6 year $80 million deal that a lot of NBA Observers said was a little too much for a guy who played in KNICKS COACH D'ANTONI'S high octane offense.

But what you get from LEE every night is 110% and a VERY INTELLIGENT and somewhat ATHLETIC Big who can PLAY both Front court position and be effective. AND I, THE BLUEDUDE, knew exactly their thought process with acquiring LEE. The WARRIORS already have the same type of BIG in ANDRIS BIEDRINS from LATVIA, and you put him and lee together you will need no Windex cleaner because there will be no glass to put it on as both of these gentleman rebound with the best of them.

Now, take that front court and mix it in with FREE AGENT Pick-up DORRELL WRIGHT from the HEAT, CHARLIE BELL of FREE AGENT from the BUCKS by Way of FLINT MICHIGAN NORTHWESTERN HS and TOM IZZO"S CREW in East LANSING, MI., and the dynamic back court of MONTA ELLIS AND STEPHEN CURRY you have something to build on and around.

The BAY hasn't seen too many winners since the 1970's crew led by RICK BARRY, NATE THURMOND ,and Coach Al ATTLES , and also the FAMOUS TRIO of RUN TMC with Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, and Chris Mullin. But with new ownership and the outlook to fans that we want a winner and WHY NOT THE EAST BAY.........the LAKESHOW DOES it in CALI, THE SAC KINGS did it early in the decade with the C-WEBB, White Chocolate, and the VLADE Group.......Now its our time.

The Smartest thing ownership dead was to get rid of the dead weight that was holding a talented group back. Before Smart took over they looked like a RUCKER PARK TEAM with a $58 Million Cap....For Real......ask some of them CATS in the EAST BAY....they could put a team together from OAKLAND PARKS AND RECREATIONS to beat a NELSON TEAM that's how unsettling the team was from a schematic standpoint.
