BLUEDUDE HEADS you have to go to ESPN.GO.COM to check out the configuration of the END ZONES for the COLLEGE Football Game of the Fighting ILLINI of ILLINOIS vs the NORTHWESTERN WILDCATS SATURDAY at 230PM CENTRAL at CUBS WRIGLEY FIELD.
If you look closely at the east end zone the back of the end zone is right at the WRIGLEY FIELD IVEY with the Goal POST actually sitting on top of the right field ally bleachers. The WRIGLEY FIELD Staff has put padding all around the wall in back of the EAST END ZONE to cover the IVY and the BRICK WALL that is underneath the Ivy but it is still a cause of concern for both teams and the NCAA.
Now if the BLUEDUDE recalls didn't the CHICAGO BEARS play their home games at WRIGLEY before Soldier Field so what's the problem? I know technology and safety has come along way but if there is the right amount of padding don't you think all the players would be safe enough to hit the wall. This is a magnificent idea that really looks cool but now it will a be circus with the ball having to be placed down on the east end every time the teams change possession. WHAT A CIRCUS.
But still if you get a chance look at the field it really looks cool and knowing the WRIGLEYVILLE Enviroment SATURDAY will be jumping from sun up to sun down no matter how funky the game will be played.........AS FOR WHO IS GOING TO WIN..............THE WILDCATS OF COURSE AND I KNOW CATS HEAD MAN PAT FITZGERALD IS NOT LEAVING NW.........BUT MAN WITH THE ACADEMIC CONSTRAINTS TO STUDENT - ATHLETES JUST GETTING IN.......HE HAS DONE A MASTERFUL JOB.......AND THE PURPLE AND WHITE ARE ALWAYS IN THE TOP HALF OF THE BIG TEN AT SEASONS END UNDER HIS DIRECTION.
NOW ONLY IF ILLINOIS HEAD MAN RON ZOOK COULD COACH JUST A LITTLE.........JUST A TINY BIT......HE WOULD HAVE STILL BEEN AT FLORIDA ....RIGHT?

NW vs ILLINOIS at the CUBS WRIGLEY FIELD will use WEST ENDZONE only because of SAFETY Concerns for Student-Athletes

I wish I had ESPNU so I could watch this game. The idea of playing a football game there again is really neat. It's good to see player safety is a major concern, but I feel bad for the fans who bought seats closer to the East end zone. They won't be seeing a lot of action on that side of the field.
