It's getting down to the nitty gritty in COLLEGE Football as two huge games will impact the BCS this week and for sure down the road. You can call it roadblocks, trap games, or whatever but they are must win games for these institutions of higher learning.
330PM ET
The first game on tap...............
#3 TEXAS CHRISTIAN HORNED FROGS @ #5 UTAH RUNNIN' UTES: THIS IS IT FOR BOTH OF THESE SQUADS. Whoever comes out on top will win the WAC and cement themselves right into the BCS National Championship picture.
TCU's only real test came in ARLINGTON TEXAS on September 4 a victory over PAC-10 school OREGON STATE BEAVERS 30-21. They really haven't been tested since. TCU QB Andy Dalton and RB Ed Wesley lead the TCU attack on the ground and the air. TCU is 9th in the country overall on the ground and if they can sustain that average Saturday the UTES will be in trouble.
THE UTES on the other hand do it with a stifling athletic and quick defense and a balanced attack on offense led by QB Jordan Wynne and a balanced running attack led by a two-headed monster in Eddie Wide and Matt Asiata.
The UTES have been tested twice in the season on September 2 vs a game PITTSBURGH team in OT 27-24 and on October 30 at the AIR FORCE Academy 28-23. the Key for the UTES is to slow down the Running attack for the HORNED FROGS and keep TCU QB Dalton in 3rd and long passing situations.
The Utes are tough at home and they have beat TCU all 3 times the HORNED FROGS have visited UTAH.
WINNER:THE UTES of UTAH

#6 ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE @ #10 LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY TIGERS: This would have been the game of the year if it not for both teams coming in with one loss. BAMA upset at South Carolina and LSU losing a tough one on the PLAINS to AUBURN. If BAMA wins it sets up a huge match-up with in-state rival Auburn who has already beat the TIGERS. If the Tigers win they hope that BAMA beats AUBURN and there is a Three-way tie for the SEC WEST.
BAMA has been tested every game. Being in the toughest football conference in the country there no gimmes. The shocker was the loss in Columbia to South Carolina. But they have managed to bounce back and have put themselves right back into a possible chance to defend their national title from last year.
BAMA is led by last year's HEISMAN WINNER RB Mark Ingram and RB Trent Richardson. If the TIDE gets ahead and starts rolling downhill between the trenches this spells doom for the TIGERS of LSU. BAMA defense has been getting better they are experienced up front but young in the back end. But if they can slow down the gadget offense of LSU they should win.
LSU will try to keep it at their pace and will try to keep the BAMA offensive attack on the ground off the field. They will need big plays from QB JEFFERSON and make even more plays on defense and the kicking game. Led by ALL WORLD DB PATRICK PETERSON THE DEFENSE will need to come up huge in this one. The Mad Hatter, LSU Head Coach LES MILES, The BLUEDUDE's Favorite will have to use more trickeration on offense and in the kicking game if they are to beat BAMA on Saturday. But if given the Chance ......watch out..........BAYOU BENGALS are at home for this one...
WINNER:PICK 'EM
Another Judgment Saturday for College Football and these programs. The BCS Shakeup will happen every weekend from here on out. Stay tuned to the BLUEDUDE'S BCS Countdown every Friday.
