As we await the Sweet 16 Match Ups in the NCAA Tournament the Duke Blue Devils dodges not a bullet but the NCAA dodges what would have been catastrophic at the box office. Imagine no Blue Devils or no Zion Williamson the rest of the way as former Duke All-American and lead assistant Johnny Dawkins and his Central Florida Squad almost pulled it off.In what was deemed as the Group of Death the Midwest Bracket the #1 Seed North Carolina Tar Heels survived as did #2 Kentucky and #3 Houston. Kansas was the only other Top 4 seed that couldn't reach the Sweet 16 as Bruce Pearl and the War Eagles from the Plains rode the SEC Tournament Championship Wave right into the Sweet 16.
Gonzaga and Virginia both held serve in their respective brackets as their can only be on as we head into the stretch run into the Final Four in Minneapolis, Minnesota...
