The Memphis Grizzlies setting themselves up to make a huge move in the West after the break take out the Hawks in ATL 79-76. This was not after the Grizz went to the line for a Free Throw (there only FT of the Night) on an Illegal Defense by the Hawks.

The Grizz down 43-37 at the break do it on the defensive end and end the game on a 42-32 run to eke a close one. Z-Bo led the Grizz with 20 points and he and Marc Gasol combined for 14 boards and eight helpers. Courtney Lee added 14 point with PG Nick Calathes formerly of the Florida Gators and a HS Teammate of current Red Nation SF Chandler Parsons chipped in with 10 points and five helpers.

The Hawks clearly outplayed the Grizz just looking at numbers but those 21 turnovers and a 8 for 15 from the line also put them in the loser's circle. Hawks All-Star Paul Milsap had 20 points, grabbed eleven Oranges, and waited on six Hawks Tables. Kyle Korver sent his streak to 118 consecutive games with a Money Ball as he had nine points. DeMarre Carroll was the only other Hawk Player in double figures with 13.

The Grizz with the "W" moves to 27-22 while the Hawks fall to 25-24. The Grizz are sitting in the 9th seed in the West with ATL in the 4th slot in the East.
