For the love of Lute Olson, George Raveling, and Dr. Tom Davis the Iowa Hawkeyes are making their move under 4th years Coach Fran McCaffery. No there is no Roy Marble, B.J. Armstrong, Jerry "Sir Jam-A-Lot" Wright, Kenyon Murray, Ed Horton, or even Jess Settles. What there is though is solid Hawkeyes Basketball and led by Bloodline Roy Devyn Marble and yes the Son of former Hawkeyes Star Roy Marble.

Marble had a game-high 26 points as Iowa took out then the #10 Team in the US the Michigan Wolverines. Marble 18 of that 26 via the Money ball as Aaron White (11 pts 8 rebs) and Mike Gessell (10 pts 8 asst) were the only three Hawkeyes in double figures. Iowa just capitalized of of a 43-29 lead at the break and didn't get caught up in playing Wolverine Ball up and down running to Arc.

The Wolverines get 22 points from Caris LeVert but the Maize and Blue's Top Stars Glenn Robinson and Nik Stauskas struggled. Stauskas had 10 points on just 3 of 6 from the field. Bloodline Robinson III had two points on 1 of 7 from the field as he was not in the contest at all.

The Loss gives the Wolverines a 9-2 Big 10 Record a 1/2 game behind the rival Spartans. The Hawkeyes moves to 3rd in the Big Ten at 7-4 as both Teams are in the Top 20 and should remain in the Top 20 in this week's new poll.
