The NFL Playoff Picture is getting clearer and clearer as we move into almost the mid-point of the season. Already some teams have put themselves in must-win situations this early in the season. COWBOYS, VIKES, THE PACK, and FINS all have to win to stay with division leaders or just to get out of a slump.
WEEK 6 also features the return of one BIG BEN in Pittsburgh. The Steelers lead in scoring defense with just giving up a little over 10 a game, forcing 12 turnovers i just 4 games an a +7 in that category which equates to winning football on Sunday. They are last in the NFL in passing but that will most definitely improve with BEN back in the fold. The STEELERS and RAVENS are most definitely looking like the cream of the crop in the NFL this season.
Lets take a close look at WEEK 6 GAMES to be played October 17-18 2010:
October 17 1PM ET
1. FALCONS @ EAGLES: You know where I am going with this one so don't laugh or say man BLUEDUDE you stupid. You have choices to go elsewhere but I am giving you key insights on what you probably don't know and helping your fantasy teams. DRUM ROLL PLEASE.................VICK BOWL 1 .......If #7 plays in this one it will be the #1 game of the week hands down. The Falcons have found their stride and look to put weeks of winning football together with a solid defense. The Eagles beat the struggling 9ERS on the road and looked pretty good with K SQUARE in the Pocket. If Vick plays it will be eagles and if he doesn't.....hmmmmmmm
WINNER: FALCONS
2. BROWNS @ THE BIG KETCHUP BOTTLE: Heinz will be electric for the most part with the return of BIG BEN Roethlisberger. The STEELERS know this is a divisional game and the BROWNS will play tough. WALLACE, DELHOMME, MCCOY, and/or whoever is back their good luck. Browns RB Peyton Hillis the same. Oh! And put a little more air in that helmet. If the STEELERS get the passing game going with an already top 5 running game they will be unstoppable. One thing the league didn't want as #86 would say, " A MAD BEN COMING BACK TO A TEAM 4-0 OR 3-1".........WHO YOU WIT?
WINNER:STEELERS
3. LIONS @ NYG: About 3 weeks ago the LIONS had a serious chance to win this one. But it seems like their Division Foe the BEARS woke up this sleeping GIANT literally. If I know here we go with that what if S***. If QB Matthew Stafford didn't get hurt week 1 they would be on course right now and not 1-4 I tell you that much. The G-MEN have something cooking on Defense and an evolving STUD at wideout in HAKEEM NICKS. With this games being played at new JETS STADIUM lol (that's bad BLUEDUDE) the LIONS have no shot.
WINNER: G-MEN
4. RAVENS @ NE: A rematch of the wild card game last year where lil RAY RAY and Dem crashed the party through mama's porch, back door, screen door, side door, patio door, garage door, basement windows, crawl space, and sky lights( you know yo mama ain't got all them entries and if she did you wouldn't be reading this blog). The Pats have to stay the course with the JETS and the RAVENS have to stay in front of the STEELERS so something has to give here. With Brady playing and Belichek on the sideline you know JIm Nantz and the QB Phil Simms will call this and my TV will be on MUTE. The Game will be won if the young and emerging PATS defense can slow down Flacco and the Boys, and if they do, the PATS will WIN.
WINNER: PATS
5. DOLPHINS @ LAMBEAU: The PACK, looking like a mash unit at this point in the season, are on thin ice and Head Coach Mike McCarthy and the staff knows they are very vulnerable. The DOC did order a struggling DOLPHINS team to come in and NOW all they need is LAMBEAU WEATHER to come in effect and it won't. The game will be won if the PACK can get good enough QB play from back-up QB MATT FLYNN, yeah that LSU guy which was the last time he started QB was at LSU. UH OH SPAGHETTI O PACK. Dolphins need to get the running game going and let QB HENNE open it up a little to WR BRANDON MARSHALL. NO Aaron Rodgers no win sorry PACK..
WINNER: DOLPHINS
6. CHARGERS @ THE LOU: Man I don't know about the BOLTS. You never know which Chargers teams is coming to the party. The one that's gentleman-like or the obnoxious one that make all the Breeze's leave the set ( SHOUTS OUT TO THE LEFT COAST AND BREEZY THIS BLOG IS HELLA TIGHT). NORV and PHILLIP need this one in every way possible. The Broncos are breathing down their neck and it seems like 9-7 might win the AFC WEST. Rams are formidable especially at the crib. QB Bradford is a keeper. SPAGS and his staff has these guys thinking and playing like we can and will compete with what's on the schedule. With that said the BOLTS miss WR VINCENT JACKSON and the troubles are still evident and the RAMS are a tough out at the flay.
WINNER: RAMS
7. NAWLINS @ THE BIG PIRATE SHIP: NFC SOUTH GET DOWN right here. The new BUCS are off the chain on defense and HEAD MAN Raheem Morris has these guys thinking Playoffs for real. QB JOSH FREEMAN is the deal and they have a #1 WR in MIKE WILLIAMS the one that plays in TAMPA from THE ORANGE. Not the bust from Detroit Lions or the dude stocking at your local grocer. SAINTS just have to keep finding ways to win. Remember when you have a good scheme and that scheme takes you to the promised land the whole league is circulating film on you like its a new release in a video store. The Injury bug has crept on them too but they have a solid defense and they may have to ride that out for a while until O gets in stride.
WINNER: BUCS
8. ARROWHEAD BOYS @ TEXANS: I have said this time and time again, " IF THE TEXANS HAD THE COLTS TO PLAY 8 TIMES IN A SEASON THEY WOULD BE 12-4". But they tend to forget you have to play every Sunday, every game, every QTR, every minute, and every possession like its your last. What a disappointing lost last week and they were beat down. CHIEFS are for real and now they just have to find a QB. QB MATT CASSELL is fool's Gold and nothing else. They have play makers everywhere and the coaching staff looks like the PATRIOTS MIDWEST DIVISION. This is a tough one with the TEXANS struggling and the CHIEFS playing at a high level.
WINNER: CHIEFS
9. SEATTLE @ DA BEARS: WOW who would've thunk it. THE BEARS are 4-1 and doing it with JULIUS PEPPERS playing every position on D except the 2 linebacker spots. #90 is my early pick for NFL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR and it ain't even close. If they can get some consistent play on offense DA BEARS will be tough to stop. Settle and COACH Pete Carroll are JEKYLL and HYDE. They look like a super bowl team at QWEST and look like the 1980 SEAHAWKS away from home. You know ZORN AND LARGENT that group. The HAWKS have no shot in this one especially at SOLDIER.
WINNER:DA BEARS
405PM ET
10. NYJ @ NEW MILE HIGH: The Broncos are playing really well on offense behind QB Kyle Orton. The Defense is holding up as well as they lost last years NFL Sack Leader DE ELVIS DUMERVIL in the training camp. They will have their work cut out playing the high-scoring and bend but don't break defensive minded J-E-T-S who are coming off a big win vs the VIKES Monday Night. The key is if QB ORTON can sustain long drives and keep Sanchez and the Boys off the field. The Broncos D will have a hard time Stopping this running game as well so the best D for the Broncos is ORTON and the Offense.
WINNER: J-E-T-S
11. SILVER & BLACK @ 9ERS: The RAIDERS are playing well and got a huge confidence booster vs the BOLTS last week which showed me n them that they can play a somewhat high-level opponent. The Raiders Defense is turning the corner led by Rookie LB ROLANDO MCCLAIN. The 9ERS need a win PERIOD Then we can talk about the other things that must fall in place for them in the NFC WEST to win the Division. Coach Singletary knows he must right the ship and quickly because an under .500 record might cost him his job. Throw the records out and this will be a smash mouth type of a game with these bay area rivals.
WINNER: 9ERS
12. COWBOYS @ VIKES: This is a back against the wall, I can't believe we are 1-4 DONNYBROOK here. Lets play this one in the middle of MALL OF AMERICA. NO PADS NO REFS just PLAYERS and the VIKES and COWBOYS Cheerleaders. So many headlines going into this one on and off the field. PURPLE PEOPLE need to get in sync on offense and the defense has been playing alright. The JETS game may have woke these guys up really. For COACH BRAD Childress he better had hope so.The BOYS from BIG D are struggling closing games. They have played well in parts but just can't seem to get over the hump of closing opponents out. The D has struggled at times like the Offense. This game will be won on which staff makes the proper adjustments and which team makes plays at key times in the game.
WINNER: VIKES
820ET PM
13. COLTS @ 'SKINS: Peyton and the boys struggled against a gritty tough CHIEFS team that just would not go away. The COLTS D played exceptional and they are ready for Donovan and the 'SKINS Offense. The 'SKINS need to stay the course of hanging around in games long enough to make a play or plays to win it at the end. This team is very resilient and that comes from SHANNAHAN who has won 2 Super Bowls. The Defense is Top 5 especially with BIG ALBERT HAYNESWORTH in the middle of that defense. This will be a good one and McNabb will be fired up as he gets to play the so called BEST EVER in Manning. He is good but so is #5
WINNER: 'SKINS
OCTOBER 18, 2010
830PM ET
14. TITANS @ J'VILLE: The Titans got a huge win in Dallas last week with QB Vince Young looking flawless and the Defense of the Titans making play when they needed to. Which JAGS team will we see? This is the problem HEAD COACH Jack Del RIO and his staff face every week. Look they are playing at home in a divisional game which everyone knows what everyone is going to do.In the end it will be CJ28 vs Mo JONES-DREW. I think the Titans may have found something they can build on from last weeks game.
WINNER TITANS
NEXT WEEK TOP TILTS

WASH @ CHI
